DEHLI (Capital Of India)

 

*Delhi*

    Delhi is a capital of india. Is a metropolitan area in the country’s with a historic old Delhi and the Modern Delhi. Built during the Mughal period in the 1600s, the Red Fort Symbol of india. New Delhi in the south, since 1947 the capital of india, built in the first part of the 20th century as the capital of British India. Delhi is historical moments to crowded shopping malls, from an extensive network of the modern metro system to Delhi University Campus. To the east the territory is bounded by the state of Uttar Pradesh, and the north, west and south it is bounded by the state of Haryana.



*Red Fort*

    The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of delhi in India. It served as the residence of the Mughal Emperor for 200 years. On May 12, 1638, Shah Jahan began construction of the Red Fort. Then he decided to shift his capital from Agra to Dehli. The Red Fort was also a center for all important ceremonies and political  activity in those days. Today this structure houses quite a few museum which record and narrate the historical event of the Past.



*India Gate*

At the center of New Delhi Stands the 42 m high India Gate, The iconic India Gate an arch gate made using standstone, is a war memorial situated in the Rajpath area. Almost similar to its French country, its commemorate the 70000 Indian soldier who lost fighting for the British Army during the world War.

During nightfall India gate is a dramatically floodlit while the fountain nearby make a lovely display with coloured lights. India Gate stand at one end of Rajpath, and the area surrounding it is generally referred to as “India Gate”. The foundation stone of india gate  was laid by his royal Highness, the Duke of Counaught in 1921 and it was designed by Edwin Lutyens.


*Qutab Minar*

Qutub minar is a tallest minaret in india. Qutub Minar is among the iconic monument of Delhi. Its also Known as the “Tower of Victory”  the first three storeys are made of red Standstone the forth and fifth storey are of marble and standstone.  At the foot of the tower is the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India. It is the construction of the marked the beginning of the Muslim rule in India. Located at Mehruli,  around 3.9 million people visit the structure every year.
